Tesla's problems are bigger than politics.

- A distracted and unfocused CEO

- Competition from Chinese EV

- Poor quality control

- Too much time between new vehicle updates

There's more but that's enough to get the idea. Tesla's issues are remarkably similar to the complacency that affected Ford after the success of the model T and the model A. That also had nothing to do with politics, although I'm sure musk and ford would find common ground there as well.

Sounds like a real opportunity for the Tesla board to move on to a more focused CEO who can implement this strategy and effectively market the company without all the political baggage.

How do you come to this statement? "The S&P 500 has dropped 34% in the past year — this isn’t just a Tesla problem. "

Hey Paul giant typo on my part. I thought about correcting it. Might just let it marinate for a bit and see who else notices. Nice spot btw 😊

I think you and I have decidedly different understandings of sacrifice, morality and the concept of being “a force for good.” To argue Musk represents any of those three ideas requires an extraordinary ignorance (either witting or unwitting) of the reams of evidence that lies before us.

Sometimes there just isn’t enough money, power or fame to satisfy a person’s megalomaniac ego. Having those things in abundance doesn’t mean you aren’t impaired by the drive for evermore. Add a ketamine addiction to an already volatile psyche and you’ve got a recipe for a man with a god complex and a penchant for risk taking beyond reason.

Btw, it’s hard not to notice that your post makes no reference to the fact that Tesla has failed miserably to achieve any real level of self driving capability. And what it has achieved doesn’t meet any necessary standards of safety. The technology thus far has been a never ending series of Musk over-promising and way under delivering (which isn’t foreign to Musk). And the market has caught up and surpassed Tesla in most every critical category. Which maybe helps explain Musk’s need to pillage US government databases - he understands how much power & control that information would give him.

Investing in Tesla is tantamount to investing in Musk’s promises, which are more likely heading toward - dare I say - rapid unscheduled disassembly rather than super charging your investment portfolio to the moon (or Mars).

But hey, it’s your money. I’ll steer clear of investing in Bond villains.

I don’t know much, but I reckon public nazi-saluting from a ketamine addicted CEO is probably a liability.

As of today (3/17) the S&P is up 10.59% YoY and down 3% YTD. TSLA is down 37.25% YTD. Suggesting TSLA is tracking the overall market is highly misleading.

You must be addicted … he is motivated entirely by self interests , and even that is murky . He may once have been smart- I’ll leave the genius out.

He struggled , truly struggled to make something of himself. Like every person whoever struck gold or oil to become affluent - he now thinks it was because he was superior to others. When is that ever true? He does *not* know how to work hard - he knows how to soak $ out of the US govt. no one who is responsible for even 1 company is doing the amount of drugs he is doing - in interview after interview, he is stoned out of his mind . At times, he even indulges in the drug while ON AIR. Even if he were bright at one pt , his brain is fried now.

His companies were under multiple investigations and, per his own words, if DJT hadn’t won, he was looking at arrest and jail time.

This is not a “good” person. He is a ADDICT, a JUNKIE, a man not in control of himself. He has only himself to blame… and maybe his parents , particularly his mother.

Anyone who says he's not smart is deluded. Founder of Paypal. Single handedly built the largest EV car company, when others have failed. Single handedly built SpaceX. Took over X and gave back freedom of speech to the people.

Your comments reek of someone who drips with envy, likely because Musk's successes highlight your personal failures in life or business.

Ed - you’re not up on your E Musk history - he may once have been merely smart. He did not single-handedly build ANYTHING ever. He finagled his way through American Unis with family wealth.

He purchased Tesla from the FOUNDERS of that company . And he made a killing on govt subsidies - Tesla would have been a footnote in history without FOUNDERs and govt subsidies. Period.

Space X is funded by, you guessed it, GOVT subsidies. Explosion after explosion

Multiple agencies investigating him - per his own words on Rogan , I’ll go to jail if T doesn’t win.

He’s been at the govt teat so long he actually thinks he’s a “businessman.”

No one envies him - he is a sick individual . Catch his last few interviews - totally FUCKED in the head. If he feels so great about himself , why is he under the influence every minute of every day ?😂🤣i wonder…🧐 ketamine and high potency weed.

Your idol 🤪

All EVs got govt subsidies. Yet Teslas are highly popular while other EVs are struggling.

He literally invented a way to reuse rockets and catch re-entry vehicles with chopsticks.

He's not my idol at all. But then again, I'm not deluded like Elon haters into thinking he's "not smart".
